Having trouble uploading your transactions? Here are the most common issues and how to fix them.
"File Format Not Recognized"
Cause: The file isn't in a supported format (CSV, OFX, or QFX). Solution:- Check the file extension
- If it's .xlsx or .xls, open in Excel and Save As CSV
- Make sure the file isn't corrupted
- Open the file in a text editor
- Check that it has Date, Description, and Amount columns
- Ensure there's actual data below the headers
- Try a different date range from your bank
- YYYY-MM-DD (2026-01-15)
- MM/DD/YYYY (01/15/2026)
- DD/MM/YYYY (15/01/2026)
- Try a shorter date range
- Split into multiple files
- Remove unnecessary columns
- Make sure the column header says "Amount" or "Debit/Credit"
- Remove any currency symbols if possible
- Ensure amounts are numbers, not text
