Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account.

What is 2FA?

With 2FA enabled, logging in requires:

  1. Your password (something you know)
  2. A code from your phone (something you have)
  3. This means even if someone gets your password, they can't access your account without your phone.

    Setting Up 2FA

    1. Go to Account Settings
    2. Find the Security section
    3. Click Enable next to Two-Factor Authentication
    4. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app
    5. Enter the 6-digit code to verify
    6. Save your backup codes
    7. Recommended Apps

We support any TOTP authenticator app:

      • Google Authenticator (free)
      • Authy (free, with backup)
      • 1Password (if you use it for passwords)
      • Microsoft Authenticator (free)

      Backup Codes

When you enable 2FA, you'll receive backup codes. These are one-time use codes for when you can't access your authenticator app.

Important: Save these codes somewhere safe!

      Logging In with 2FA

      1. Enter your email and password
      2. Open your authenticator app
      3. Enter the 6-digit code
      4. You're in!
      5. Lost Access to Your Authenticator?

Use one of your backup codes, or contact support@nextmovemoney.com with identity verification.

        Disabling 2FA

If needed, you can disable 2FA:

        1. Go to Account Settings
        2. Find Security section
        3. Click Disable next to 2FA
        4. Confirm with your password
